My home office/nook/perch. I have discovered that Apple products get delivered to Vancouver too! I am testing the Blog app on the new itouch with camera.
We are also sadly having to find Lemon a new home. It's heartbreaking. Look at him:
This is the blinded view from the living room. Our place is at the front of the building facing the mountains.
This is the majestic view of my building as you approach it through Nelson Park. We are on the 4th floor.
We are still exploring this and other neighborhoods in Vancouver. Paul has joined the Viking Sailing Club. I'm less Viking and more Victual in orientation.
This is the view from the back of the 250 Vancouver Bus that travels from Horseshoe Bay into Downtown Vancouver. Kind of spectacular.
As I've learned in recent days, The Lion's Gate Bridge is best avoided for reasons of traffic, but still an enjoyable city trek to West Vancouver, by bus at any rate. This 250 route was a particularly useful discovery as it leads to ferry departures -- we're not landlocked!
What I've learned in Vancouver so far is that you DO have to look back from time to time. The views are free.
Long run Sunday -- crossing Burrard Bridge from Kits to the West End.
We ran the Vancouver 1/2 Marathon two weeks ago, very painfully for me (a new level of quad discomfort). We are currently training for the First Half of the San Francisco Marathon -- July 25, 2010. I ain't no Murikami. THAT is for sure.
